We are proud to be a melting pot of culinary diversity, and we’re thrilled to announce the first year of Memorial City Restaurant Weeks. During the entire month of March, Memorial City will showcase specially curated lunches and dinners from top area restaurants, and a portion of the price of each meal will benefit Women’s and Children’s Services at the Memorial City Medical Center through the Memorial Hermann Foundation. Listen up, y’all! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade is coming to town, so saddle up and head on over to the Memorial District to get yourself ready. Shops like Marlo Miller Boutique, King Ranch Saddle Shop, and Boot Barn can help you find your perfect rodeo attire. Plus, on Friday, February 28, you’ll have a great seat for watching one of the trail rides head in to town. Check out our blog and get ready to Rodeo!
March 16-20, head to The Square at Memorial City Mall for a week of free fun and entertainment. There is so much to do that you may even need an extra week to recover! The fun starts at 4 p.m. each day. Then, at 7 p.m., you can watch a movie on the giant 24’x14’ HDTV screen and enjoy complimentary popcorn.
Monday Mascot Olympics: Frolic the Dragon, Puck the Penguin, the Memorial City Reindeer, and others will go head-to-head in our second annual Mascot Olympics. Then stay for the “The Secret Life of Pets” in The Square at 7 p.m.
Tuesday St. Paddy’s Day: There will be traditional dances and interactive lessons and a live band to end the night.
Wednesday Dino Fest: Dinosaurs will invade The Square courtesy of Wilde Dinosaurs. There will be lots of fun activities and a showing “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” in The Square at 7 p.m.
Thursday Rodeo Fun: Put on your boots and hat for cowboy games and roping lessons for Rodeo Day. Later, catch the original “Toy Story” in The Square at 7 p.m.
Friday Circus Fun: The Circus comes to The Square with a thrilling performance by the amazing acrobats from Cirque La Vie. Play carnival games, get your face painted and enjoy circus treats, too. At 7 p.m. watch “The Greatest Showman.”
The Memorial District does live music the right way! Just look what’s happening over at The Moran. Award-winning cover band The Fuse will be at the Fireside Bar at The Moran (formerly Hotel Sorella) at CityCentre from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Feb 28. Enjoy the specialty drinks, the great service, and the entertainment. This gem of a lounge features a great view of the city.
The Easter Bunny will be returning to Memorial City Mall on March 12. He has a brand-new home between Zara and Forever 21. Come and say hello, or for an additional fee, take a picture. You can bring your furry family member to Pet Nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday evenings—March 15, 22, and 29. For families with children who have special needs, we have sensory-friendly days on March 22 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
