Lace up your running shoes and take your mark because the 11th Annual green6.2 is back at CITYCENTRE on Saturday, April 11. Houston’s greenest run begins with a Chevron Houston Marathon-qualifying 10K at 7:45 AM, followed by a 5K at 7:50 AM and a Kids K at 9:15 AM. Participants and spectators are invited to join in on the pre and post-race festivities in the plaza. All finishers will receive a medal and t-shirt. #rungreen

WorldFest Houston 53rd International Independent Film Festival @ Cinemark Memorial City

WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the world, and for 9 days Cinemark Memorial City will showcase the future of film.

This year WorldFest will have a special showcase on films from south of the border with Panorama Mexico. They will bring in emerging cinematic artists, actors and directors, and have a retrospective of the beloved director and comedian Cantinflas.

Through the years this festival has recognized and given awards to filmmakers before they had their “big break” such as George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers, Robert Rodriguez, Ang Lee and many, many more.

Parachute Play Time @ City Centre

Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus presents Parachute Play Time with Gymboree Play & Music on Friday, April 17 from 10 AM – 12 PM for a morning of toddler-friendly fun. Young children are encouraged to learn and develop as they play movement games, participate in song and dance, and experience the famous 20-foot rainbow parachute.
