Childs' Advocates Superhero Fun Run @ City Centre

The 7th annual Child Advocates Superhero Run is a family-fun event benefiting Harris County’s only Court Appointed Special Advocate program. The Superhero Run will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 8 AM at CITYCENTRE, and will include 5K and 1K courses for big and little heroes alike. Everyone can be a superhero for the day by wearing their favorite superhero costume to the run. Runners and non-runners also have the opportunity to host an online fundraising campaign to benefit Child Advocates.

Houston Bonsai Society Fall Show @ Dillard's Court

There will be a judged exhibition, demos, workshops, talks and vendors. Come see some beautiful bonsai, learn how to make your own, and bring it home with you! This event is free and open to the public.

The Houston Bonsai Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and supporting area bonsai grower artists while promoting and preserving the ancient art of bonsai. The word BONSAI (bone-sigh) means “plant in a pot,” an ancient living art form that began thousands of years ago in Asia.  Bonsai involves nurturing a tree in miniature, through pruning and shaping of branches and roots, to take on the appearance of an old tree in nature.
