If you’ve driven through the Memorial District recently, hopefully, you’ve caught sight of our new district monument markers. The monumentation marks the boundaries of the district and establishes a uniform, polished look throughout the area. The stone structures feature the Memorial District logo and complement the street signage already in place throughout.
The eleven monuments are being rolled out in two phases. Phase one, already underway, can be seen at the western boundaries of the district-along the Beltway feeder at Memorial Drive, the 1-10 feeder, and Westview- as well as long the northern boundaries.
Phase two is underway and will be completed after after roadway infrastructure projects on the eastern edge of the district are completed.
