Enjoy End of Summer Movies and Check out the New Releases Coming to the District

There is something special about seeing a movie on the silver screen at your favorite cinema or on a big screen in an outdoor space with family and friends. Here in the Memorial District, you have multiple ways to enjoy a movie, whether you want to attend a sneak peek of a new Hollywood blockbuster, a dinner date while you catch an indie flick, or a family-friendly film with your favorite movie stars.

Cinemark Memorial City

Guests of this Cinemark location rave about their excellent experiences because of the abundance of film options and the theatre’s cleanliness, quietness on weekdays, great parking options, and friendly staff. Grab snacks and a drink, including adult beverages, at the concessions stand. Plus, the theatre is at Memorial City Mall near the food court, so you can do some shopping before or after the movie. Friday Family Movie Night at Memorial City Mall

Many Fridays throughout the year, you can find movies that are fun for the whole family at Friday Family Movie Night at the Square in Memorial City Mall. The movies appeal to people of all ages—young or young at heart. They usually start around 8 p.m., and they are a fun chance to spend some time outdoors. You can bring a blanket and set up a spot for you and your family in the grassy part of the Square. Alternatively, you can make it a dinner-and-a-movie experience. Just make a reservation for a table on the patio of one of the great Memorial City restaurants surrounding the Square, such as California Pizza Kitchen, Maggiano’s, or the Rouxpour.
