METRO's Summer of Fun pass!

METRO's Summer of Fun pass is back!  The METRO Student Summer of Fun Pass offers K-12 students the opportunity to travel anywhere METRO goes, any time, any day, for FREE! The Summer of Fun pass is good from June 1 to September 1, 2018.

Students can apply for a card by visiting ridemetro.org and clicking on the "Summer of Fun" link or call 713-635-4000.

Help METRO brighten the holidays for children in need.

Bring an unwrapped toy to the designated bus at the following locations. The first 250 people to drop of a toy will receive a FREE $5 METRO Q® Fare Card*.

Northwest Transit Center (7373 Old Katy Rd., Houston, TX 77024)
Grand Parkway Park & Ride (1030 W. Grand Parkway North, Katy, Texas 77449)

School’s out and METRO wants to give students FREE RIDES to where the fun is – ALL SUMMER LONG! 

The new METRO Student Summer of Fun Pass offers K-12 students the opportunity to travel anywhere METRO goes, any time, all day FREE!  The Summer of Fun pass is a unique fare card offering students FREE rides on all METRO light-rail, local bus and Park & Ride service from June 1, through Sept. 1, 2017. Plus, you can keep the card and use it like a Student METRO Q® Fare Card once school starts.

Apply for your card in 1 of 3 ways:

1. Go to RideMETRO.org and click the Summer of Fun link to apply.
2. Call 713-635-4000 to request mail-in applications.
3. Visit a METRO RideStore to apply. (1900 Main St. or 1001 Travis St)

Your card must be registered for activation.

Need help with the logistics of voting this year? Let METRO and the YMCA help!

METRO is offering FREE service to and from the polls on all METRO local bus, light-rail and METROLift paratransit service on Friday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 8. To receive your round-trip fare simply notify the bus operator or train fare inspector. For additional information or to plan your trip visit RideMETRO.org.

Additionally, the YMCA is offering 2 hours of free childcare on Tuesday, November 8, while parents vote. Parents do not need to be members of the YMCA but do need to register their children in person on or before Tuesday. The service is available for children aged 6 months to 11 years. For a list of all Greater Houston YMCAs visit YMCAHouston.org.
