There are multiple ways to visit with Santa or get a family photo for the holidays at St. Nick’s Park in the Dillard’s Court of Memorial City. There are giant illuminated reindeer, a peppermint-scented path, and six-foot candy canes at St. Nick’s Park. Take pictures with Santa from fun camera angles, and watch the magical moments with Santa on a large TV monitor outside of St. Nick’s Park. Prefer to visit Santa from home? No problem! Zoom video calls are available this year, and children can talk to Santa online.

At St. Nick’s Park, choose one of multiple photography session options. Make a reservation before December 16 to receive $3 off your photo package. Then, with each photo package that you purchase at St. Nick’s Park, receive free passes to Ice Skate Memorial City and the Memorial City Carousel.



Reservations are a must, as they help the staff create magical, memorable events that comply with health and safety guidelines from the CDC, Harris County, and the City of Houston. People with pets can share in the joy of having their little ones see Santa from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday through December 21. Memorial City also has Caring Santa from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on December 6 and 13. This sensory-friendly opportunity is an excellent way for children with special needs to have a Santa visit. During Caring Santa, the staff turns down the lights and music to create a peaceful, welcoming environment while the young ones have a photo session with Santa before public admission. Memorial City will provide juice boxes, doughnuts, and coloring sheets for this event, and Santa’s reindeer will be in attendance. Click here to sign up, Memorial City partnered with Autism Speaks. This organization raises societal awareness and understanding of autism and helps people with autism and their families.

For all of the Santa events at Memorial City, employees and guests must wear masks at all times unless a guest requests to remove a mask temporarily for the photo session. The staff will conduct temperature checks on all employees and guests, and St. Nick’s Park will undergo sterilization before and after every visit. Everyone will have access to hand sanitizer. Parents and guardians of Santa’s young visitors will be the ones to put their children on the physically distanced set near Santa, and anyone who is not part of the photo will socially distance in an area away from Santa, the photographer, and the other guests. Santa Claus will be at CITYCENTRE for Holiday in the Plaza from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 28. Presented by Sewell Cadillac, this event will begin when Santa himself arrives in a Cadillac. You can help CITYCENTRE fill the Cadillac with donations for the Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. In exchange, you can take a complimentary photograph with Saint Nicholas.

This year, Thanksgiving may look a little different. Whether you have a small gathering or a quiet dinner out with friends or family, the Memorial District is here to help. Restaurants are standing by delectable menu selections, along with fabulously packaged and ready-to-eat items.
Fleming’s is offering a three-course dinner starting at $53 which includes all the fixings and dessert. You can choose from herb-roasted turkey, filet mignon or prime bone-in ribeye. The full dinner menu will be available all day, perfect if you are an early diner This menu is also available for pick-up with prices starting at $43 per person.
Eddie V’s has an entire Thanksgiving dinner that you can easily reheat at home starting at $135. All the salads and sides are included, as well as a pumpkin pie. You can also opt for the tenderloin bundle, which starts at $150. They have a “just sides” bundle, in case you already have your turkey. This starts at $125. All of these options are available for order and pick up. Be sure to order soon as slot do tend to fill up quickly.

Seasons 52, has a warm and serve Thanksgiving dinner package that can be easily reheated in less than an hour. The package includes all the sides and salad, a choice of six mini desserts that include pumpkin pie, raspberry chocolate chip cannoli and turtle cheesecake. This package starts at $150.

Capital Grille offers a full Thanksgiving dinner menu and a full dinner to go. The dine in-menu is $43 person and the to-go option starts at $125. If you choose to dine in, please make reservations ahead of time.

Perry’s in Memorial City also has scrumption dine-in and to-go options. The individual Thanksgiving dinner is $45 per person and includes a three-course meal with dessert. A family-style Thanksgiving dinner for four people starts at $139. Perry’s has a Pumpkin Cheesecake available for an additional $20.

Want to do something different for Thanksgiving? How about a stay-cation at Hotel Zaza in Memorial City and have Thanksgiving dinner at the Tipping Point. The Thanksgiving menu includes a starter, entrée and dessert. You’ll be able to choose from an NY strip steak or the traditional turkey dinner that comes with all of the fixings. In April, we celebrate both Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 24) as a way to encourage environmentally friendly decisions and learn about positive steps we can take to create a more sustainable future.
Integrate sustainability into your shopping decisions, and support companies that follow eco-friendly business practices, such as The Vitamin Shoppe Memorial City. Their Omega-3 fish oil products have won awards for defending marine environments. Check out Lush at Memorial City, whose handmade and vegetarian bath, body, and cosmetic products contain environmentally safe ingredients that will not damage Houston’s waterways.
You may want to consider different transportation choices whenever possible. How about biking? If you need a bike, you can rent one at the Houston Bike Share’s Pearl CityCentre Station.

Many Memorial District restaurants are offering curbside pickup and delivery this Easter. That means this year you can bring the holiday meals home, Houston. Here are a handful of eateries ready to make Easter meals extra special.
Have your pick of two Easter Dinner bundle options. Get them either hot and ready to eat or cold and ready to make at your convenience. Preorder these bundles while supplies last by Friday, April 10.

This family-style Easter menu is $95 for a two-person serving or $185 to serve four to six people. It puts the premium Whole Rack of Bone-In Filet on display with sides grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes sides. This three-course menu includes field green salad with Parmesan vinaigrette and French rolls and concludes with apple crostata. Also, add to your meal with delicious shrimp cocktail, lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, and lobster bisque. Order by April 10.

With multiple options, Churrascos has the Easter meal package for you. Serve four to six people with the $89.95 Chateaubriand bundle, which showcases a delicious roasted beef tenderloin. Then, Easter Pack 1 has 6-ounce grilled churrasco steaks, while Easter Pack 2 has 8-ounce grilled churrasco steaks, and prices vary depending on the number of people you’d like to serve. Mix Grill Pack 1 has petite filet, grilled chicken and grilled shrimp, while Mix Grill Pack 2 has roasted salmon, grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. Both Mix Grill Packs serve six people for $129.95. You can also find yummy tres leches and drinks, including margaritas, mimosas, mojitos, and sangria. Celebrate Easter with the Cold-Prepped Easter Bundle by Maggiano’s. This $120 kit feeds four to six people and helps you make the meal at home in your own kitchen during the holiday. Just heat it in the oven! This package includes mini meatballs in marinara sauce, Caesar salad, lasagna, four-cheese ravioli, chicken piccato, spaghetti aglio olio, garlic broccoli, tiramisu, and ciabatta rolls.

For $39 per person, enjoy a three-course Easter meal that comprises your choice of salad and entrée—including the famous seven-finger-high pork chop—with sides and dessert. Get your meal with curbside pick-up or delivery on Sunday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Get everything you need for Easter brunch, including a deviled-egg kit, cathead biscuits, strawberry jam, two pounds of uncooked bacon, two pounds of uncooked sausage, two pounds of honey baked ham, two pounds of butter, and Southern-style breakfast potatoes. Pancake kits with a jar of maple syrup are $7.13. Bloody Mary kits are $30, and gallon mimosas are also available upon request for $15. The Easter Bunny will hop through Houston soon, but there is still time to get everything you need for your family’s at-home celebration with gifts and goodies. Many restaurants, small businesses, and shops are doing their best to offer curbside pickup and delivery, so you can have a happy holiday by shopping online or during specific hours.
Learning Express in Town and Country Village is offering personal shopping and curbside pick-up to create the perfect basket for your children based on their ages and interests. Visit their Facebook page or website for more information.
Another small business in the area, Mine Gifts and Monograms, will take orders over the phone or via their website for curbside pick-up. Add the perfect soft touch to any Easter basket with their supply of plush animals and lovies.
Like some other brick-and-mortar stores, Trudy’s Hallmark at Memorial City is temporarily closed, but you can still get gifts and cards from their online store. Trudy’s Hallmark has excellent ideas for Easter basket fillers, such as jigsaw puzzles, Jelly Belly jelly beans, fun nail polish, and stuffed animals. Of course, you can also find the perfect Easter card, including pop-up cards and Easter Bunny cards.
Memorial City’s China Baroque has adorable springtime jewelry for your loved ones, and some of the items have perfect Easter tie-ins. For example, the Totally Tikaa Square Bunny Pendant has a cute bunny image overtop a series of flowers. Similarly, the company’s Diamond Bunny Charm shows a bunny hopping along. The charm uses broken china to make the image, which is set in sterling silver.
For decorating Easter eggs, HEB has excellent options. Cascarones are a mix between Easter eggs and piñatas, and HEB has a helpful tutorial on putting them together with items you may already have at home. In addition, HEB has tutorials on making traditional striped Easter eggs as well as Easter eggs that look like the Easter Bunny.
When it comes to Easter baskets, HEB’s website is once again a good one-stop shop for ideas and supplies. They have tutorials on building the perfect Easter basket for a child, a young adult, and even a furry friend. You can shop for the products on HEB’s website and then have the items delivered right to your door.
Randall’s in Town and Country Village also has great products to fill an Easter basket. For example, get Easter Bunny chocolates and other Easter treats here. Also, it’s important to note that Randall’s offers Golden Hours, which are times when seniors can safely shop. At Randall’s this time is from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
