New to fitness in the Memorial District, 9Round offers a fresh take on circuit training.
The 30-minute workout is built around nine rounds of exercise preformed for 3 minutes each. The exercises are structured to give a full-body, balanced workout. The kickboxing-centered circuit can be modified to meet the needs of individual clients with proven results and a whole lot of fun.
With no scheduled classes, clients can come at a time that best suits them and jump straight into a workout. A maximum 18 people can workout at a time, which leaves little to no wait for clients when they come in.
Craig Brenan, owner of 9Round at Kingsride and a second 9Round on Eldridge, says, “I have something really good here and I want to get it to people.” In addition to amazing cardiovascular benefits, clients can expect increased musculature, decreased weight, and blood sugar management. Brenan says, “It’s reshaping their bodies.”
9Round members can also take advantage of heart-rate monitoring as a tool to focus on and achieve fitness goals; an online, individualized nutrition program; and access to an online medical director. Brenan stands behind the 9Round workout and offers a money-back guarantee. Give 9Round two weeks or get your money back.

Based on complete but unofficial returns, voters in Spring Branch ISD approved an $898.4 million bond referendum with 80 percent voting approval. With 46 of 46 precincts reporting, Harris County’s unofficial returns show 12,185 total ballots cast, with 9,599 district residents voting for the referendum and 2,459 voting against it.
“We’re very grateful. It’s a significant win for the kids and for our community. I’m humbled by the margin of victory,” said SBISD Superintendent Scott Muri, Ed.D., in special remarks to the Houston Chronicle newspaper.
Bond approval will allow SBISD to begin design and planning for replacement of nine elementary schools and Landrum Middle School; construction of new classroom buildings at Memorial and Northbrook high schools and a classroom wing at Cedar Brook Elementary; replacement of the Stratford High auditorium; and renovation of Spring Woods High’s cafeteria and library. Other 2017 Bond initiatives will upgrade safety and security, building systems and technology at all campuses.
In addition, bond funds will be used to replace older district buses, install four high school synthetic turf fields, replace aged musical instruments and uniforms, and also replace Career & Technical Education classroom equipment.

The intersection of Frostwood and Kingdride has re-opened with reduced travel via 2 lanes on Frostwood. Access to Frostwood from Kingsride remains highly restricted until the
pavement repairs are completed. Please note that this work is only a portion of a much larger repair project in progress by the City of Houston. Access to the surface parking lots of Medical Plaza 1 will continue to be negatively impacted for the duration of the project. Drivers should anticipate delays in the area and use extra caution until this work is completed.
Canstruction® Houston, Inc., a one-of-a-kind design and build competition benefiting the Houston Food Bank, returns to CITYCENTRE this November. This allowed the organization to provide 108,963 meals for hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. The event and exhibition is sponsored by H-E-B Houston, Thomas Printworks and b4®—a Midway-developed company with a mission to change lives through charitable giving.
