Upcoming Traffic Safety Improvement Project for Bunker Hill Rd and I-10 Frontage Rd U-Turn

Beginning April 28, the Memorial Management District will commence safety improvements at the U-turn area of Bunker Hill Road and the I-10 Frontage Road.
The construction work will be conducted Monday through Friday between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. The project will be completed in two phases and is expected to take approximately 45 days to finish.

The project involves expanding and installing various road and pedestrian features along the IH-10 Frontage Road. This includes adding pavement, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, pavers, driveways, curbs, medians, pavement markings, and pedestrian traffic signals.

The American Heart Association presents Get With The Guidelines award

for proven dedication to best practices and life-saving care

HOUSTON (August 22, 2022) — Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, west Houston’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center, has received two American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines achievement awards for demonstrating commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of stroke, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer readmissions to the hospital.

Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has a stroke or heart attack, and heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 5 causes of death in the United States, respectively. Studies show patients can recover better when providers consistently follow treatment guidelines.

Get With The Guidelines puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest evidence- and research-based guidelines.
