Kendra Scott is coming to Houston! On Thursday, September 15, Houstonians are invited to the Kendra Scott CITYCENTRE location for a special event where they will meet the designer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist as she celebrates the release of her new memoir, “BORN TO SHINE.” The event, which takes place from 4 to 6 p.m., includes access to the book signing, a meet and greet photo with Kendra, a signed copy of “BORN TO SHINE,” an exclusive tote bag, and more!
With “BORN TO SHINE,” Kendra takes readers on a journey of personal stories and hard-earned life lessons. With every pitfall, misstep, and failure, Kendra has built a life, and a career, rooted in joy, purpose, and doing good. Every plate sold provides between 6 & 18 meals from the Houston Food Bank to those who are in most need.

This year twelve restaurants from the Memorial District are participating, enjoy cuisines from Tex-Mex, American fusion, South American and Thai. Many of the dinner options begin with 3 courses and are set at $55 per person. Lunch time options are 2 courses and begin at $25. First up on our list we have Churrascos located at 947 Gessner Rd Suite B-290, Churrascos offers both lunch, dinner, and to-go options. Choose from beef empanadas in the first course to salmon drizzled with tomatillo sauce for your second course. Top off the dinner with a boozy tequila bread pudding. Looking to finally have a reason to try The Daily Gather located in CITYCENTRE look no further for your excuse! Dinner is a 4-course meal including dessert and includes a variety to choose from. Try the salmon ceviche tostadas or the cavatappi mac & cheese paired with the steak frites or seared salmon. Finish it off with a citrus crème brulee. It all sounds so mouthwatering! The District is full of excitement this month with fun activities for the whole family. Whether you need ideas for the 4th of July, activities for keeping the kids from going stir-crazy or a relaxing time for yourself.
Enjoy 4th of July in CITYCENTRE with fireworks show and live music. Grab to go from the many restaurants surrounding the plaza such as Cyclone Anaya’s, Daily Gather, Bella Green and Yardhouse. Feel like enjoying a sweet treat during the fireworks? Stop by Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and have a scoop of powdered jelly donut ice cream or enjoy a yummy macaron from Sweet. Get ready to save lives this month! July 7th the Gulf Coast Regional Blood center will have their blood drive truck outside Anthropologie in CITYCENTRE from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
