April 17, 2019

The Memorial District believes in and supports small businesses. Did you know that Houston Community College's Center for Entrepreneurship provides education and training for entrepreneurs and small business owners? Their mission fosters economic growth through business and community development.

The Spring Branch Campus, located at 1010 West Sam Houston Parkway North, offers practical entrepreneurship courses, workshops and seminars and lots of resources to help you on your journey as an entrepreneur.

Watch “She Started It,” a Film About Entrepreneurial Women on April 26

HCC invites you to join entrepreneurial women of all ages for a viewing of “She Started It,” a film that follows five passionate, trailblazing young women who strive to compete and thrive in the ruthlessly competitive boys club of high-tech start-ups. After the film, stay for lunch and learn from a live panel of five local women entrepreneurs who will share their own stories of creating their Houston-based startups and nonprofits.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 pm. on Friday, April 26 at HCC's West Houston Institute.

For more on the film, including a film trailer, more about our local panel of women entrepreneurs and to RSVP to hold your seat, click here:  https://conta.cc/2KA3lWW

This event is sponsored by Houston AnitaB.org, HCC-Northwest Center for Entrepreneurship, and West Houston Institute IDEAStudio.
