Houston, it’s time to be counted. Every ten years, the U.S. Government counts every living person in the nation. Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year. These funds are used for health centers, fire departments, schools, hospitals, roadways and so much more. Businesses use the information to help provide services and products to you. It also determines the number of representatives each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Invitations to respond to the 2020 Census will be delivered between March 12–20. Once you receive that invitation, you can respond online, by phone, or by mail. Census takers will also fan out across the U.S. to count difficult to reach populations and residents that don’t respond as requested. In December, the U.S. Census will report results to the President and the Congress.
The information you share for the Census is confidential and defines the funds allocated to your community. Please help your community and respond to the U.S. Census!
And if you are interested in part-time employment, the Census is hiring! They offer flexible schedules and competitive wages. Click here to start the application process.
