Back to School

The summer is coming to a close and kids are headed back to school. If you still need school supplies and outfits, look no further than the Memorial District. Stores at Memorial City Mall like Target, Macy's, Dillards, Hollister and more all have back-to school deals.

This Saturday, Aug. 24, there will be an after-school activities fair at the Xfinity Fireplace. Representatives will be on hand to talk about activities such as gymnastics, karate, dance, art and music in which you can enroll your children. Visit our blog to learn more.

Labor Day Baby Drive

Queensbury Theatre is a unique asset for the Memorial District. In addition to being a world-class theatre, Queensbury is also known for the Kibble School of Performing Arts and also can be rented for private events. Learn more about these features on our blog.

The District Welcomes Amazon Web Services

One of Amazon's 18  North American Tech Hubs is now located in a 25,000 square foot facility in City Centre. The building will house Amazon Web Services (AWS) teams, with roles including software development engineering, solutions architecture, data analytics, professional services, product management, and account sales. Get a Taste of New York City in the Heart of Memorial City Mall

Calling all Houston Texans fans - Dolce and Cannoli will offer $5 wine and beer specials during all Houston Texans games. But you can stop in for a meal and beverage anytime.

This is the first start up restaurant for Michelle and Jason Piltzmaker who hope to spread their success into other Houston malls, and beyond.

Dolce and Cannoli’s Chef Drew Rogers told CultureMap that he uses a filtration system that mimics the mineral content of NYC’s tap water to give the dough for his 10-inch pies the right flavor. Other menu items include sub sandwiches, soup, salads, paninis and, for desert, a wide variety of Italian pastries.

Days of Our Lives Cast Attracted Thousands of Fans at Memorial City Mall Tour Stop

Thousands turned out to meet the stars of the iconic daytime drama at the Memorial City Xfinity Fireplace on Saturday, August 10th. Diedre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Lamon Archey, Matt Ashford, Camila Banus, Linsey Godfrey, Lauren Koslow, Melissa Reeves, Sal Stowers, and Paul Telfer all came to Houston to meet their fans. They signed autographs, took pictures and reminisced with those who have been watching the show for decades, and young fans who have just started tuning in. Click to see more photos of the event.

There is still time left to enjoy a great meal and help an important cause.  See which Memorial District places are on the list
