However you spend Father’s Day with Dad this year, be sure to cherish every moment and enjoy making memories here in the Memorial District.

It's that time of the year when we express appreciation and honor dads, grandfathers, step-dads and all men who are as a father figure in our lives. However, each year trying to find a perfect gift that is not a tie or a wallet can be challenging. So we put together this gift guide with interesting gift ideas your dad will enjoy and that you can easily find in The District.

Keep your dad looking sharp and book The Boss Haircut and Shave at Capones's BarberShop & Shave Lounge on Kingsride Lane across the Memorial City Mall. For just $58 your dad will get the Traditional Men's Haircut and then will enjoy a two-hour barbershop experience that includes hot lather, straight razor shaves, hot towels and a relaxing shoulder massage. Guess who will be his favorite child now?

If it's time for your dad to get a new phone or a tablet, take him to the District’s electronic stores including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, or Apple store. He will adore this gift for years and with every use, he will think of you.

Want to try a new fragrance? Head to Memorial City Mall. Sephora, Macy's, and L'Occitane en Provence have prepared Father's Day gift bags and offers that your dad would love. Don't hesitate to stop by Bath & Body Works and by Lush Cosmetics to get some goodies for a home-style spa. Yes, dads also deserve to relax and be pampered!

For the specialized and more thoughtful gifts, stop by Mine Gifts & Monograms at Town and Country Village. You can bring a coffee cup, water bottle, towel or any gift you got for your dad, and add a customized monogram. It's takes about a week for the monogram, so place your order soon.

How about Father's Day feast? Flemings is offering a 3-course prix fixe menu all Father’s Day weekend.  Perry Steak House & Grill, Texas de Brazil,  State FareLiberty Kitchen or Kuu Restaurant are just a few other places in the District to enjoy a perfect meal and atmosphere with your dad (click here to see The District's dining directory).

Or if your dad loves sports, Academy is the place to shop. A jersey from his favorite team, a new golf club or camping supplies are always popular choices. Or check their dad-approved deals.

Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there and remember that the best gift you can give them is your time.
