Memorial District's Best Online Fitness

April 2, 2020

These days, it is more important than ever for us to have an exercise routine to reduce stress and stay healthy. Even though gyms and workout facilities in the Memorial District are temporarily closed, most offer other ways for members and people in the community to keep fit.

The Bar Method and Revolution Studio each have livestream workout sessions that are easy to access at home through popular apps such as Zoom and Vimeo. Even if you are not a member, per-class prices might still be friendly for your budget.

The Bar Method

If you would like to try the Bar Method's classes first before you make a commitment, opt for the 14-day trial. After the first two weeks comes to an end, you can get a 3-month membership starting at $55, or you can pay $19 monthly. Check out this interview from the Bar Method:

Revolution Studio

Over at Revolution Studio, each livestream class costs $14. Plus, they give you 7 days to redeem this coupon once you sign up, so you can get started when it's right for your schedule. Here's a video to give you an idea of what you might expect from the yoga classes:

Some online classes use special equipment, such as a bicycle or a trampoline, but the studios also offer ideas on substitutes for people at home who may not have these items. For most classes, all you’ll need is a yoga mat and a water bottle. Take a look at this class from Revolution Studio to get an idea:

Memorial City Club and Life Time Fitness

Additionally, the Memorial City Club offers virtual classes for its members, and Life Time Fitness offers its most popular classes on demand. Be sure to check out the options available at both of these great gyms.

While we observe the stay-at-home order, we don’t have to give up our exercise routine. Keep fit, stay safe, and be healthy!
