Leibman’s was founded in 1979 by Ettienne and Ralph Leibman after moving to the United States from South Africa. The couple established a niche for themselves by sourcing gourmet foods from around the globe. In 2017, they handed the store over to their daughter Sharon who moved it to its new location in The District. She carries on the family traditions and commitment to excellent food and wine offerings.
