Everything You Need for a Happy Thanksgiving in the Memorial District

Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, and this year, the best time to start planning your family’s holiday dinner is now. Whether you want to make dinner at home, order a takeout meal, or have dinner at a local restaurant, there are great ways to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Memorial District.

If you are cooking at home, you can pick up great cookbooks at Barnes and Noble at Town and Country Village to find Thanksgiving day recipes.

Williams Sonoma also has many great recipes available, such as these Bacon, Mushroom and Sage "Stuffins" that you can make in a Goldtouch Nonstick Muffin Pan from the shop.

They also have great tips on how to cook the perfect turkey and explanations for anyone who wants to ditch the canned cranberry sauce for something a little fresher.

And, of course, get your pumpkin pie while you’re there.

 

Get the Thanksgiving Green Box at Seasons 52 with Field Greens Salad, Roasted Turkey, Savory Pan Gravy, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Brioche and Sage Stuffing, Green Beans, Mashed Butternut Squash, and House-made Cranberry Relish.

 

Brio Itallian Grille also has a fabulous Thanksgiving deal that costs just $21 per person. They have pre-orders available for Curbside, Pick-up or Delivery on Thanksgiving Day. Get turkey, stuffing, broccolini, mashed potatoes, orange cranberry sauce, and pumpkin spiced bread pudding.

 

Perry’s Steakhouse is offering a family-style Thanksgiving Dinner ($139), which feeds four and comes with choice of family-style soup or salad plus entrée with sides. A kid's version is available for children under 12 for $15. Add-on options include a three-pound encrusted prime rib ($129 extra) and pumpkin cheesecake for four ($20). Pre-order online beginning on November 18 with pick up between November 23 and 25.

State Fare offers a to-go traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings ($225), but those seeking an alternative way to mark the holiday might consider the restaurant's to-go brunch option. Get six cathead biscuits, a pound of bacon and house-made sausage, a dozen eggs, a quart of country gravy, pancake mix, mixed berry jam, whipped butter, and a pint of maple syrup ($55). Cooking instructions are included. To-go beverage kits, mimosa gallons, and frozen drinks are also available. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance. Pick up up on Tuesday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 24.

Be sure to spend your Thanksgiving Day relaxing, enjoying great food, spending time with family, and having a wonderful holiday. There is no need to think about Black Friday this year, as the deals are happening all month long for Black November.
