City Centre is a Happening Place for Happy Hours

With its many bars and restaurants, City Centre is the perfect spot to end your day or start your evening.

Under dim lighting in modern urban chairs, the oval bar glimmers in the middle of the restaurant. General Public opened its doors in 2016 with farm to table meals and specialty cocktails. Revel in their happy hour which begins at 3 p.m. with $3 cocktails and beers, $4 at 4 p.m. and $5 at 5 p.m.  Two fan-favorite cocktails are the Rusky Rose with its vodka and rosy flavor and the Strawberry Smoke Thyme - bourbon with a slight kick. Happy hour appetizers include sweet crab hushpuppies, lightly fried and covered in powdered sugar. it’s perfectly paired with a fluffy maple butter. Another good choice is the hot ham and swiss sandwich bites on toasted sourdough. The appetizers are big enough to feed two people perfectly. If you’re in the mood for beer, try Yard House. With an upbeat modern style lit by warm light, Yard House has a relaxed ambiance. Plenty of televisions span the space, offering a variety of sports programs. With a large number of beers on tap, happy hour is from 3 - 6 p.m. Sample different beers with a beer flight. From Asian dishes to American plates, the extensive appetizer menu has many options to choose from. The ahi sashimi is a favorite that pairs perfectly with a light beer and the chicken lettuce wraps are delicious. The flatbread pizzas are particularly popular.

Looking for something to spice up an afternoon? Head to Cyclone Anaya’s for some tasty margaritas! Spanish tradition is followed by colorful modern colors and tables, which transport you to a cheerful Mexican villa. Happy hour is from 3 - 7 p.m., a perfect time to sit out on the patio and wait for the traffic to die down. Nachos are always a great choice to pair with a margarita. However, if you’re feeling exotic try the seafood ceviche that pairs well with a silver Don Julio tequila. Just be sure to sip it to enjoy its flavor. Enchiladas de pollo are a yummy dinner that can easily be enjoyed by two people. The dinner portions are large enough to be shared. Enjoy a margarita flight if you can't decide which flavor to pick. Chips + salsa + a margarita = a recipe for a successful happy hour!

If wine is your thing, the Tasting Room hosts happy hour seven days a week from 4 - 7 p.m. Enjoy delicious food and wine pairings. With their extensive wine menu, they offer “a comfortable place to get serious about wine.” A lively atmosphere greets visitors who can selecte from an ever-evolving 120+ bottle wine list to suit all tastes. If you aren’t sure what wine to drink – ask your server who will guide you to a choice that is just right. Buy the glass or a bottle. For wine collectors, a unique program features private on-premise lockers to properly store 24-14 bottles of wine. Share small plates of delicious pairings that range from charcuterie to a variety of appetizers and pizza cooked in a wood fire burning pizza oven. Whether you select indoor dining or outdoor patio seating you are guaranteed a nice evening.
